Description
Thousands and thousands of duckweed cover the pond and they hold this leaf. Only in a small spot can you see the reflection of the blue sky and a piece of cloud.
What was amazing and exciting was seeing a dragonfly larva (which can be seen in the next photos) climbing out of this pond.
This transition, the final larval moult, takes place out of water. This metamorphosis is triggered by day length and temperature, and is synchronised in some species, such as Emperor Dragonfly.
